"5" "Busterjazmin" "May 2, 2015" "The one I have from three years ago works great, I love it. But the three I bought last week are all deader than a door nail. The Internal batteries are all dead. Maybe they are part of stock that was made three years ago." "5" "Jim Murad" "February 3, 2015" "I use this in a Hobby Zone Radian Glider. The Resolution is Fantastic and the field of view is really clear. For the money it is a no-brainer. I've tried several other cameras and they don't compare. It is light and doesn't affect the weight of small RC planes." "4" "canewalker" "November 29, 2013" "I put velcro on mine and affixed it to one of my flat out foamie 3D airplanes and got some good videos. After about 60 flights the battery only holds out for 6 1/2 minutes but that's OK since I only fly for 5 minutes at a time. Picture quality is good and so is the sound. I was getting a lot of vibration which blurred the video so I switched from an 8 X 4 to a 9 X 5 prop and the vibrations almost quit completely while powering to climb. Once at altitude and throttled back to half power the vibrations quit. I mounted it on the front of my Honey Bee FP helicopter by leaving the canopy off and putting velcro on the front of the battery and got some interesting videos with it. I needed to see the top of my house and barn and the HBFP worked out OK. Next project... mount it to my micro Heli Max mQX quad copter and see how that works out." "5" "Paul B" "July 24, 2013" "This camera works great! Amazing resolution." "4" "2512rc" "February 3, 2013" "I've had 4 of these, still have three. They record very well, generally - at this price you could find a lemon periodically, so charge up and test it as soon as you get it, but they really are a good value. The mic is very sensitive (if yours isn't, get a replacement) and it captures a very good image for it's size ! This layout requires it to stand up as shown, which works perfectly for cutting a hole in the canopy base, turning it on and pushing it up through the hole to capture onboard images !! Easy to upload into windows" "5" "Reviewer" "January 13, 2013" "It´s one of the best in the market, just what I needed to record my rc flights" "5" "Paul W" "November 26, 2012" "Works great! One problem...the audio sounds like someone is connecting and disconnecting an electrical wire or a battery or something. The noise is so bad that it usually drowns out any sound that actually accompanies the video...anyone have any experience with this??" "5" "Paul W." "September 11, 2012" "Looks just like the ad indicates. You need a micro sd card or nothing works. Weighs pretty much nothing and has a decent quality display. The lens is orientated in the direction of a clip so you can clip inside a pocket and record undetected. Quality is OK but it appears that a long life is not in the picture. I rubberband it to a high flying RC airplane and have a blast with the thing. For less than $20 its hard to beat. Overall I am very pleased with the camera." "5" "michael" "April 21, 2012" "one of my video cameras takes 2 minute intervals of video. quite annoying. this camera takes videos the length of the sd card. decent videos. can't complain. doesn't stand up to abuse very well to be careful." "5" "Heather" "February 6, 2012" "Works pretty good I bought it to be able to see what my car was seeing. It's pretty cool." "5" "Bones" "January 23, 2012" "works good for the price. Mounted in Big Lama helo and got good video. Had to convert the file format to view in Android tablet. Works better if it is mounted to get foreward facing shots. Very satisfied." "5" "mike" "April 23, 2011" "Great product, excellant for RC Helicopters" "3" "Chris" "April 20, 2011" "Camera works ok, as long as you dont have it shooting through the prop. at times it can be difficult to mount, other than that is an ok camera for the money" "5" "Joe Bliss" "April 10, 2011" "Ive used this on both a DF03 car and a scratch built foamy. Video is good for money and works best on sunny days. On overcast it changes the gain/shutter too much and can be distracting going from bright to dark over and over. But this is not a high end camera and the price also reflects this. If you want something better you are going to have to spend a lot more money and it will probably be a lot bigger. I would recommend checking the screws as they come loose easily from vibration. I have crashed several times with it and it has been launched clear across the ground on impact. Still works fine! All and all its an excellent value for the money it provides a good enough video quality to be enjoyable." "5" "Alan" "April 7, 2011" "I charged this camera off of my laptop computer for several hours and then attached it to my HobbyZone Super Cub. I was able to take an 8 minute video on the initial charge. The video quality was very acceptable for a $25 camera. However, I tried unsuccessfully for three more times to attach the camera to another RC airplane that I have; each timer that I brought the plane down after about 5 minutes of flight time, the battery was completly dead. I finally figured out throught trial and error that the camera takes forever to charge using the USB connection to the laptop. I connected the camera to my cell phone charger and within 1 hour the battery was fully charged and the camera would video tape for 30 minutes to one hour on a single charge. Make sure that you have the camera fully charged before you try to use it for more than a few minutes. I could leave the camera plugged into the laptop USB connection over night and it would still not indicate that the batter was charged. Other than the problems with charging the battery, I would have to say that this is a great little camera for the money." "5" "joeym" "April 6, 2011" "this little device is terrific for aerial video..cant beat it for the price..the only negative is it seems to take a little while for the video to download on my computer...but really like the camera" "4" "Tony" "March 31, 2011" "A little jumpy in the video's sometimes on a moving rc airplane but for price its a great deal. Video is definitely worth watching" "5" "Don" "March 25, 2011" "Good performance ... great value. Easy to use & reliable." "5" "Jim Green" "January 18, 2011" "These are great!! They have very good Video too and they are small enough to strap or velcro them to the side of even the small park fliers for some Excellant FPV Video!!!" "5" "Bob" "December 30, 2010" "Used for the first time and it flew off from about 200 feet in the air.Worked fine when i found it.ought 3 more. Great for the RC planes and fun to watch the video." "5" "Lester" "November 21, 2010" "under 20 bucks and works fine!!! A real winner Thanks" "5" "Jack Simpson" "October 27, 2010" "This camera is great. It's very small but that's great pictures and movies. I bought two. One had a problem that hobbyparttz correct right away. Having great fun doing videos of my helicopter flights. It's even helped me get help from my firends as to what was wrong with my RC helicopter." "5" "Ryan Hart" "October 26, 2010" "Good: I bought this camera in Dec 09 and was reasonably happy with it for a week. It was definitely small and light weight which was great for my helicopter. The overall quality was ok. Bad: The camera itself was poorly supported with almost no documentation. The buttons were hard to use and the battery/camera died after a week of use, never to work again. Also, the video only recorded at about 20fps instead of the rated 30 and the audio/video weren't perfectly in sync. After much looking I found multiple versions of this unbranded camera around, all with slightly different specificiations. I read recently about a new HD version coming out in Japan with a similar look but much better camera/specifications. Sadly, no real price or date since the 1 article. Since my helicopter crashed (without camera) and isn't working right now, I'll hold off on buying a replacement and hope for the new model camera." "5" "Steve" "October 23, 2010" "I got mine and still cant get it to work I charged it and it wont turn on" "5" "Rick" "October 19, 2010" "Ordered one last year. Still going strong. Great videos from it." "5" "Howie Burch" "October 14, 2010" "Great product. Worked out of the box. Price busting price." "5" "Nathan" "October 12, 2010" "awesome quality for the money." "5" "travis" "September 22, 2010" "awsome great deal" "5" "Mike Miller" "September 6, 2010" "It's an amazing little camera. I didn't know it had audio. Tried it out on my 450 heli, it worked OK, but was a little streaky from the vibration. It worked much better on my airplane. It has been trouble free, works great, no problem connecting to a PC. Have a 4 GB SD card in it." "5" "Barry" "August 29, 2010" "I use this for the first time and I was pleased with the quality, it is indeed worth the money." "4" "Gadfly" "July 7, 2010" "Great little cam for the price! I taped it to my airplane's wing and it did great. Only drawback is that when it needs to adjust to brighter or dimmer light, it adds flashes, and the adjustments are in pretty big, sudden steps. See my vid at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_BPHIhXrW0" "5" "Scoalabro" "June 19, 2010" "After having read many reviews on this camera and all of it's variations that are out there, I did not think it would be worth much, especially after comparing this camera to the many different mini DVRs available that all had HD videos that had been recorded by pricer-fuller sized cameras, when the actual video quality sucked downright. Well, none of that actually mattered to me, I was originally attracted to this camera's dimensions and low weight. As long as it recorded video that was decent enough to tell the difference between a car and a person...I would have been happy. That was not at all what I got out of this camera though! The first video I had captured was aimed at my face, from about 8 inches away, and I had my entire back yard behind me. Well, I suck at aiming so the camera was actually pointed all the way across the back yard to near where our small chihuahuas were playing, maybe 45 ft behind me. Well, that short 15 second video was more than enough to distinctly show off each of their tiny collars and facial expressions....and considering that the largest of the 3 dogs is only 6.75 lbs and the smallest being 2.5...yeah...they are small dogs with some really small collars! Another pro...or "plus": The specific variation/model I received did not match either the site's exact product description...or the instruction manual it came with. Why? Because, in addition to being able to record video and take still photos, it also has a separate function to record voice memos/sound only. The function to record memos, in the instruction manual that came with it...is what was supposed to be the still photo function. (which in my case shares functions with the video recording. video starts with a 2-sec button press and ends with either double press of that button -or- another 2 sec button press....and the still shots are taken in the same mode with simply a quick single click of the same...button. There are 2 cons however: On some of the different variations of this camera, I have read that is is possible to set the date and time in the camera so that it will display this info IN the recordings themselves, a date/time stamp. Well, following the directions that were from a different camera, I was able to set the date and time, but I have so far been unable to get a date/time stamp to appear in the videos or photos. **(By the way, when in Windows Explorer (Vista), the "file creation" dates and times for all recordings and their containing folders....were all "static" at first, saying something like April 14, 2007, 5:07:00PM. This was atleast until I was able to set the date and time for the camera. Afterwards, everything indicated the actual creation/modification date's and times as all normal files and folders should. The second con: The frame rate is not a set 30fps. I have been able to get....30fps, but not constantly. The indirectly brighter scenes with less "rapid" movement resulted in higher rates. If centered/focused on objects relatively close to me (-10 ft or closer)...i got lower rates when moving, whereas farther objects as the center of attention would result in higher rates. To make a long story short: For flying...this should be pretty good while flying 20 ft up or higher...taking off, landing, and low altitude flybys might suffer a bit though as far as frame rate. Sound is not the best in any mode, mine was rather fuzzy but is expected considering the quality/compression of the audio is programmed to be so low/poor. Enjoy, don't over charge it (not sure how long that'd take)...and make sure you buy a "class 6" or higher micro SD card for it. Anything much less than a "class 6" and your frame rate will drop significantly!!! **The higher the "class" the faster data can be written to it, which in turn allows the camera to record faster! Class...not SIZE..class. This is commonly determined by either some print on the card's packaging....or is ON the chip itself, barely visible as just a NUMBER inside of a letter 'C'. Have fun!" "5" "Roy Oetting" "April 21, 2010" "I'm very satisfied with the two that I have. Easy to use. Weight (20.4 gm) allows me to mount two cameras on a small E-Flite SE5A. (Mounted on inter-plane struts, one facing inward and the other outward.) I've also used one on a SAAB pusher." "4" "Andrew" "December 6, 2009" "User manual says you can have up to 8GB memory card. The camera actually accepts both Micro SD and Micro SDHC type cards. At least mine does. Captures to Motion JPEG video. Average 20 fps. Video can lag behind audio. May have a dead pixel, but video quality is quite good and 640x480 with mono PCM 8bit 24kHz audio. So lightweight, you can stick it to anything with a small piece of velcro or doublesided tape." "5" "Alexy Rengifo" "October 25, 2009" "it is perfect" "5" "Ellery Batchelder Jr" "September 6, 2009" "am a pilot and I use this in my Airplane awsome quality for the money I havent had a chance to try it on my Remote Helis yet but I am sure it will work as well I am very pleased with my purchase" "5" "claudia" "April 25, 2009" "perfect" "5" "Gary Lawson" "March 31, 2009" "hey my friend bought one of this few weeks ago, he has it mounted on his airplane and the quality amazes me. now i want one but you guys have been sold out for a while. please email me Thanks"
